Here are the monthly market trends based on open environment, mobile, webmail, desktop, and more\u2014analyzed from over 1.3 billion opens in July 2022 with <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/email-analytics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Litmus Email Analytics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before diving in, we\u2019ve got an update to share: <\/span><strong>we\u2019ll be reporting on email client market share in three-month increments moving forward<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The bigger players stayed relatively the same, too. Apple decreased slightly, from 58.3% to 57.4%, Gmail increased a bit from 28.6% to 29.5%, and Outlook dropped from 4.4% to 4.2%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s take a closer look at each subcategory of Apple:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple Mail Privacy Protection: 52.7%<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple Mail (macOS Mail): 2.3%<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple iPhone (iOS Mail): 2.1%\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple iPad (iPadOS Mail): 0.3%<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"cta\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though Apple Mail Privacy Protection is the most popular subcategory, it continues to wax and wane. Last month, it saw 1% increase, while this month it dropped down again, 53.2% to 52.7%. In second and third is Apple Mail (macOS Mail) and Apple iPhone (iOS Mail), respectively\u2014both of which decreased by 0.2%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 15px; border-left: 10px solid #0d5477;\"><strong><b>Want more data and trends? Over time, both reading environments have dropped significantly; mobile now holds a 4.4% share, and desktop a 6.5% share.
