With lots of retailers sending lots of emails about their <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/black-friday-cyber-monday-email-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Black Friday and Cyber Monday<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> sales, you can easily get bogged down by the noise! This email allowed customers to add <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/more-than-a-name-13-ways-marketers-personalize-emails\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">personalization<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to their Hunter boots. Each email was personalized to the recipient using <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/personalized-experience-using-crm-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CRM data<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and displayed their name on the header image of the boots. Not only were we hooked by the funny <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/subject-line-tests-and-tips\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">subject line<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2014 when we opened the email we were then treated with an amazing homage to old school chain emails. It gives the recipient a hint of what is coming, but with an action that can be taken now. It also teases how the favorites sell out, <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/page.litmus.com\/live-polls-and-social-proof.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">creating urgency<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. It\u2019s great when emails include some knowledge tidbits\u2014like how this one explains what chuck is and why marbling is a good thing. When a company is so specialized with their focus like this one, consumers are more likely to look to them for easy-to-understand, expert advice. Design-wise, we really like the <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/the-ultimate-guide-to-web-fonts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">font styles<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and weights at the top. It reads almost like a special news bulletin, but looks really impactful and streamlined.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"converse\"><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.converse.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Converse<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Subject Line: <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">30% OFF | ADD \ud83d\udc4f IT \ud83d\udc4f ALL \ud83d\udc4f TO \ud83d\udc4f CART<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>Preview Text:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You get an extra 30% off on sale styles. Once you open the email, it matches the vibrancy of the <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/subject-line-tests-and-tips\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">subject line<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. The banner and small <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/a-guide-to-animated-gifs-in-email\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">animated GIFs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> add just enough movement to peak our interest. The yellow and lime green design makes it exciting and urgent, plus the giant yellow splat is fun! Overall, the organic shapes and copy have a youthful, trendy vibe. What we love most about this email is the use of a <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/page.litmus.com\/personalization-countdown-timers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">countdown timer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to create urgency within the email. Just from seeing the clock tick down got us excited for the upcoming sale.
