This email from <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/reesesbookclub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reese&#8217;s Book Club<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was incredibly engaging with great imagery (not just of books), costume ideas, word games, and yes, spooky book recommendations\u2014which I am looking into each and every one\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"violette\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Violette_FR<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Subject line:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your thoughts mean everything<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-scroll mb-3\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/2g.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Nicole Swift (Customer Support Senior Manager, Litmus) says<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>:<\/strong> I&#8217;m sure we all get emails all the time asking for reviews and thoughts. This one from <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.violettefr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Violette_FR<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stood out though for a few reasons. It was written as a note from the founder, which humanizes the request versus the generic &#8220;tell us what you think!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I also love how the founder reiterated her mission and pulls you in as part of that community she&#8217;s building. It makes you feel a part of something by leaving feedback. The voice of the customer is so important and the authentic feel of this request really compels customers to share.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"atlassian\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atlassian<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Subject line:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What if you had 115 extra hours per month?<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-scroll mb-3\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/3g.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Hannah Tiner (Marketing UX Designer, Litmus) says<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>:<\/strong> The design of this email from <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atlassian.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atlassian<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is fun and visual while also utilizing lots of <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/why-you-shouldnt-send-image-only-emails\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">live text<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which makes it easy to search for in the inbox and <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/ultimate-guide-accessible-emails\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accessible<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to screen readers. I like the subtle use of photography and hand-drawn accents. The bottom <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/click-tap-and-touch-a-guide-to-cta-best-practices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">call-to-action (CTA)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides a nice way to stay involved if the subscriber can&#8217;t get to the main event by offering local options.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"nintendo\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nintendo<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Subject line:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">See how you can get moving in the WarioWare\u2122: Move It! trailer.<br \/>\n<\/span><strong>Preview text:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dance, wiggle, and more in over 200 hilarious microgames!<\/span><\/p>\n<div style='position: relative;width: auto;padding: 0 0 47.34%;height: 0;top: 0;left: 0;bottom: 0;right: 0;margin: 0;border: 0 none' id=\"experience-6537bf4daf710\" data-aspectRatio=\"2.11221122\"><iframe allowfullscreen src='https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/packages\/experience-65314be5f3a72-10-19-2023-1535\/index.html' style='position: absolute;top: 0;left: 0;bottom: 0;right: 0;margin: 0;padding: 0;border: 0 none;height: 100%;width: 100%' frameborder='0' class='ceros-experience' title='Oct-Who-Give-A-Crap'><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/packages\/experience-65314be5f3a72-10-19-2023-1535\/assets\/scroll-proxy.min.js\" data-ceros-origin-domains=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carin Slater (Email and Content Growth Marketing Manager, Litmus) says<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>:<\/strong> Honestly, I only opened this email because I was looking for an example of a good email for something else, saw <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendo.com\/us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nintendo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and thought \u201cThat&#8217;ll be a good email, probably.\u201d I was not disappointed. That opening <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/a-guide-to-animated-gifs-in-email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">animated GIF<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is amazing and adorable, and the adorable-ness is carried throughout the email. The <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/resources\/guide-to-ctas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CTAs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are clear and fit the design, and while they\u2019re images, they have relevant <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/the-ultimate-guide-to-styled-alt-text-in-email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ALT text<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I did take a look at the <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/page.litmus.com\/foundations-of-email-development.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">email code<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and was kind of upset to see that they double coded the email\u2014there&#8217;s a full desktop <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a full mobile version, instead of only coding the elements that needed to be swapped out. I re-coded with image swaps it and cut the <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/qa-with-mailcharts-on-email-file-size#:~:text=The%20best%20way%20to%20decrease,animated%20GIFs%2C%20remove%20unnecessary%20frames.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">file size down<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by 31%. But seriously, I responded to a marketing email from <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/us.whogivesacrap.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who Gives A Crap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a funny story. Points to them for not having <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/say-no-to-no-reply-email-addresses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a no-reply email<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I wasn&#8217;t expecting anything back, but then <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">poof<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014cute penguin in my inbox. I freaking love the use of the cute animated GIF in this <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.litmus.com\/blog\/email-automation-to-the-rescue-how-to-get-started\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">automated email<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. And the friendliness is on brand and feels more personable than any other email I&#8217;ve gotten from writing in to other customer supports (which I have been doing a lot these days for some reason).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only advice I&#8217;d give them is that they mention the webpage having a ton of information but don&#8217;t link to it.
